Background:

Over the last three years, Laminar Flow Systems has been working on design and testing of wheel pants for Baby Beech aircraft.

Fixed gear Beechcraft have never been equipped with wheel pants. This is because of the problems associated with attaching a pant to a trailing link type landing gear. We have overcome this problem with our design, and finally you will be able to fit pants to your Beech and gain good looks, speed and resale value.

This work is now done, and I'm quite satisfied with the results.

The performance is way up (around 8 mph in cruise, or 20% improvement in fuel economy), the handling characteristics are perfect, and the appearance is great. (Judge for yourself).

Additionally, installation is simple, and the pants have a great record for serviceability. All of these aspects have taken lots of time and many test flights to get to their final state. Additionally, we have developed a set of hinge fairings which will be included at no extra cost for each person placing a deposit now, or who has placed one already.

The kits will include, apart from an STC and installation instructions, every part you will need to get your improved plane flying! Our intent is that you should be able to sit by the plane with the kit boxes by your side and never need to leave it until the job is done!

Kit contents:

3 pants, composed of two sections each. (Fiberglass,finished in white gel-coat.)

3 combination strut fairing and upper pant fairings.

WHAT WE WILL DO:

Laminar Flow Systems will undertake to get an FAA STC for the SpeedPants, and for the flap hinge fairings, and will get production equipment ready to supply them as soon as the STC is received.

If we fail to come through with our part of the bargain, you will be re-funded $50 of your deposit.

PRICING:

The complete kit will be sold for $ 4250.

The introductory offer for which you will be eligible if you make a $100 deposit now will be for $3995, so you will be saving $255 on that alone. Your hundred dollar deposit will be deducted from the price in full, so you will actually be paying $3895 when your kit is shipped.

In case you think the price is high, bear in mind that we offer SpeedPants for Pipers at $2995 for a set of two pants only. Three pants would cost $4492 on the same basis. Also remember that over 20,000 Pipers are eligible for our SpeedPants pants as opposed to only 2000 Baby Beeches. That's why we need to be sure you want them before we go ahead!
